S-47 / S-37 Berkut, Sukhoi continues development of possible next generation fighter
The Sukhoi Design Bureau of Moscow, Russia has developed the Su-47 (previously called the S-37 Berkut) fighter aircraft, which first flew in September 1997. The fighter was designed as a test demonstrator, but the design may form the basis of Sukhois next generation fighter for the Russian Air Force.
