Revisions to 19 TAC Chapter 74, Curriculum Requirements The State Board of Education adopted a revised 19 TAC Chapter 74 on May 8, 1998. These revisions address the courses that schools are required to offer, the three high school graduation plans, options for awarding credit, correspondence courses, award of credit, innovative courses and programs, and identification of advanced courses for extracurricular activities.

Texas Administrative Code, Title 19, Part II
The rules adopted by the State Board of Education (SBOE) and the commissioner of education are part of a larger body of state agency rules that are collected and published by the Office of the Secretary of State as the Texas Administrative Code (TAC). SBOE and commissioner's rules are codified under Title 19, Part II, of the TAC. Title 19 is Education, and Part II is the Texas Education Agency.
